We conducted a cross-sectional survey among FSWs in a northern city of Guangxi in to assess the prevalence and the association of behaviors and risk factors with syphilis and HIV infections. Guangxi is located in southern China and has a population of 40 million persons. It is one of the regions hardest hit by HIV in China, bordering Vietnam on the southwest and along a major drug transportation route linking Yunnan with Guangzhong.
