After reading all the reviews other people have wrote I was afraid of the hotel but The Tuxpan is in a great location, nearly the golf course and not so far of the downtown Varadero. The staff are amazing. Anything we needed or wanted to know was handled promptly. There was lots of stairs to climb, except to your room where you had the option of an elevator. The rooms are clean and spaciously. The Beach is fabulous, there are enough chairs and its very clean.
The food is better than good. You must try the hamburger, sandwiches with chicken and hotdogs at the beach or pool. The Havana tour with a visit to a cigar factory is a must. Next time we will do the Tropicana show. Make also the Sugar trip, its very Make also the Sugar trip, its very interesting! We make the trips with Gaviotatours and the guides are very good, you can ask them everything, they shall explain you what you want to now! These people are great!
Sex, Cigars and Salsa β¦ More. The hotel itself met my expectations. It was a typical 4 star Cuban style hotel. The rooms were clean and the overall hotel was kept very tidy.
The food was well you know Cuban food.. I mostly stuck to the potatoes, and vegtables. El Rancho A la Carte was excellent, nice change from the normal buffet. We went into Varadero twice for dinner to Dante which is an Italian restaurant in Parque Josque which is at 59th and 1st street. Amazing food and cheap! Cannelloni was great The beach was awesome and you could walk it forever. Always lots of lounge chairs to use by the pool and the beach. The staff are very friendly and understand English for the most part.
