Boa is an "open" bar in that its one wall is open, extending to the terrace which is quite nicely situated, with an overview of the bay.
We were there en-masse as part of a conference and, objectively, if we weren't there the place would have been empty.
It's Thursday, sure, but still - not even 10 non-conference people. The evening featured discounted cocktails not sure if due to conference or the low traffic that night so you could get a Zombie or Pina Colada for 45kn instead of the usual 70ish. Generally, the place comes off as quite trashy to me - just see the images on the FB page. Sure, many people will like the tanned douchy unbuttoned popped-collar hounds, and many people will like the typical orange-tanned, deep-cleavage, duckface girls, but I'm not one of those, so subjectively, I rather disliked the vibe the place was giving off, though was able to laugh it off with some others.
All in all, I wouldn't come back - not my kind of place. But if you like casual sex, house music and sweaty dance floor action, be sure to check it out. To each his own. Profile JOIN.
